Lewis Wolpert has been one of the most influential Developmental Biologists in recent times, sadly he passed away at the beginning of this years.

To honour Lewis Wolpert life and remember his work, the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology (UCL), Lewis academic house, has created the “Prof Lewis Wolpert Memorial Lecture”, in which Prof Claudio Stern (UCL) will remember Lewis’s work and life, followed by a lecture by Prof Cliff Tabin (Harvard): “Vignettes from a dev bio/evodevo lab: What makes a limb cell a limb cell? and How did birds evolve the capacity to vocalize?”
