Nominations are invited for the 2013 Beddington Medal for the best graduating PhD student in the field of developmental biology.
The eligibility period covers PhD dissertations submitted anytime during 2012.
The closing date for nominations this year is Monday 7th January, 2013.

InStem workshop on mouse embryology: From stem cells to organogenesis: March 10th to 23rd, 2013.

The Workshop comprises a Symposium and a Practical Course. The Symposium (March 10th to 12th) is open to anybody interested in mouse embryology and is intended to provide an up to date review of some of the exciting advances in this area, presented within a broad historical perspective. It will be followed by a Practical Course (March 13th to 23rd) aimed to provide complete hands-on experience in mouse genetic and embryological manipulation. One can register for the opening symposium independent of the practical course.
Genes & Development is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and the British Genetics Society, as a founding participant of G&D, is organizing its 2012 Autumn Meeting in honor of the journal.
